    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in the Nashville, TN area. In this role, you will represent and sell our full portfolio of software solutions to accounts within the region. Red Hat is a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization within a constantly evolving marketplace, which is why you'll need to embrace a culture of ongoing learning, collaboration, and trust. You will bring leadership to a team-selling environment, build a strategy for each assigned account, and carry out that strategy to exceed sales targets while maintaining the highest level of integrity. As a Sales Account Manager, you’ll need to have a solid background in enterprise software sales and be comfortable and effective selling at the C-level.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Successfully sell Red Hat’s offerings and services in a set of strategic accounts in the territory
    • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and the Red Hat value proposition
    • Create strategic and tactical sales plans and lead the extended Sales team in implementing them to maximize revenue and growth
    • Manage complex sales cycles from prospect to close
    • Meet assigned sales quotas by growing existing relationships with current strategic customer accounts
    • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and price quotes for our offerings
    • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals

    Required skills

    • 8-10 years of enterprise sales experience with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
    • Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and services
    • Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospect to close
    • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and ability to work on your own
    • Ability to sell at the executive level
    • Excellent communication skills and proven record of exceptional quota attainment
    • Solutions sales experience with cloud, virtualization, middleware, and emerging technologies is a plus
