Northrop Grumman's Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions (CIMS) Division has an immediate need for a Senior Manager of Business Development for our Intelligence Mission Solutions Operating Unit (OU). The IMS OU is responsible for programs supporting multiple, primary-member agencies within the Intelligence Community (IC) and other customers. Our vision is to be recognized as the leading provider of integrated intelligence systems, services and solutions supporting national security objectives.
The Senior Manager of Business Development will serve as the lead business development executive for the OU and will perform the tasks essential in the identification, qualification, and capture of new business opportunities. The selected candidate will be responsible for leadership of all business development opportunities consistent with the organization's strategic and operational plans with focus areas that include – secure communications, intelligence collection, big data tools and analytics, mission application development and migration, full spectrum cyber operations, electronic warfare, TCPED tools, SIGINT platforms, artificial intelligence and machine learning and National Security Initiatives.
He/she will also be tasked with building and maturing the OU new business pipeline with responsibility for qualifying, pursuing and capturing major ($100 million dollar) program opportunities. The successful candidate must be proactive and execution oriented in his/her approach toward business development. He/she must have a strong understanding of Business Development Operations to ensure that “tier 1” BD institutional discipline is achieved and is persistent within the organization. He/she must be capable of broad, strategic thinking with respect to emerging customer needs, competitive positioning, and requisite capabilities, with the ability to guide the organization towards the strategic and tactical actions necessary to optimize Pwin for the OU. In doing so, the Senior Manager will develop and execute growth strategies, manage the new business pipeline, identify new business opportunities, establish pursuit priorities and develop and execute successful capture plans to include capture leadership, coordination and communication.
The Senior Manager, BD, will also be responsible and accountable for Capture and B&P resource allocation for the OU to ensure that resources are allocated / managed in an optimal manner, and that budgets are adhered to.
Bachelor's degree and active TS/SCI security clearance.
10 years of experience working with IC/DoD customers.
Deep, current relationships within the customer community spanning the Intelligence Community in the Northern Virginia area as well as the DoD and Prime Contractors.
Thorough knowledge of government procurement process and proven credentials across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (identification, qualification, capture, bid, and keep sold activities).
Experience growing and prosecuting a diverse new business pipeline.
Demonstrated experience in business marketing/coordination and submission of responsive and compelling proposals, effective federal contract negotiations, appropriate/applicable interpretation of federal contract terms and conditions, issue identification, risk mitigation and ensuring post-win customer satisfaction.
Experience with technology productization and marketing
Experience with International Business Development
Knowledge of Northrop Grumman internal processes, procedures, and organization
