 We are looking for a unique, career-minded candidate to join our team as an Outlet Assistant Manager in our City Furniture/Ashley HomeStore Outlet showrooms. The primary function of this position is to increase showroom sales, Customer satisfaction and Associate satisfaction while reducing unnecessary expenses through strategic initiatives and effective daily management.

Directs the placement of outlet merchandise. Ensures all merchandise is properly placed and organized. Creates price tags based on stock transfer documents and system pricing, reprices merchandise, and manages "sold" price tags. Maintains proper merchandising and cleanliness of all Outlet products.

Leads by example for the Showroom Associates by exceeding goals including sales, services (in home service, stain removal and Design Studio), finance-related, and customer satisfaction.  Provides World Class Service to all Guests, and follows up regularly utilizing Personal Business Development Strategies.  Monitors Customer Accounts after the purchase including after-sale calls and backorders.

Opens and closes the showroom, Answers Associate/Customer inquiries, and handles customer service issues.  Updates KPI and other informational boards.  Resolves immediate HR issues with the Team as needed.

Spends one-on-one time coaching and developing Associates to drive their success and the success of the Showroom.  Completes and conducts Performance Reviews and assists with personnel issues.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

Education - Bachelor’s Degree recommended. 

Work Experience - Five years or more of experience within this type of environment recommended.

Computer Knowledge and Skills - Below is the list of computer programs and software applications that are required for this position:

  • AS400
  • General PC
  • ASAP internal platform
  • Learning Management System
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
  • Director

Bilingual English/Spanish is required; additional languages such as Creole, Portuguese, etc. are a plus
