Storage Storwize Sales Representative - Kansas City / St. Louis

Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Global Markets is currently seeking a Storage Sales Representative to sell exclusively Storwize Solutions. This position will be responsible for growing revenue of the IBM Storwize solutions across multiple consumers and routes to market and to bolster IBM's coverage and presence in the Commercial & Enterprise Customer Space. This role is a Subject Matter Expert seller position that requires focus on IBM internal influencers, external IBM Business Partners and key client engagements in  Kansas City / St. Louis.

This Storwize Sales Rep will sell into a territory and must give guidance and support to the entire ecosystem including local IBM Marketing, Offering Management, Channel and Storage Sales resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Storwize Sales Rep. is responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of the IBM Storage Storwize solutions and competitive solutions.
  • Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems.
  • Work with IBM Business Partners to supplement their existing skills and provide direction in positioning Storwize Solutions.
  • Use business acumen to understand internal and external requirements. This includes technical and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with IBM Technical and Services teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of Storwize offerings.
  • Work with the technical team to deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), in support of critical situations.
  • Work with Commercial and Enterprise Client Teams to develop opportunity pipeline.
  • Understand Storwize Sales Plays, Channel Programs, Sales Team Incentives and effectively leverage them in sales opportunities.
  • Interact with Channel & Marketing Management to provide feedback on local GEO plays needed to support goals.
  • Represent coverage area with updated pipeline coverage, deal creation/progression and requirements and actions needed to achieve growth.

This position resides in the Kansas City / St Louis area. Candidates must live in Kansas City / St. Louis area to be considered.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
