Job Purpose: Engage any activity or conversation to position him/herself in front of a prospect (customer) with the intention to inquire, assess, discover, and educate so that he/she can determine whether there's a fit and a relationship that's worth pursuing which can then lead to presenting hotel product or service in order to earn the prospect's business.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for uncovering, researching and prospecting and closing new leads for all/specific segments/verticals in order to secure profitable new business for the hotel
2. Define and prioritize cold calling lists with DOS/DOSM and prepare a Plan of Action by using various sources
3. Develop Sales Funnel for different segment or customer groups
4. Prepare value propositions and scripts
5. Prepare weekly appointment schedules
6. Make contact, aggressively solicit new leads
7. Work closely with and give support when needed to the Sales department to ensure group leads are converted
8. Complete call reports in Delphi and prepare reports as instructed by management
9. Participate in sales blitzes and other sales events as instructed by management
10. Discovering new group leads for our hotel
11. Discovering new corporate accounts in the hotel primary areas
12. Discovering new leads from geographic markets or market sectors
13. Support prospecting efforts through various channels or other promotional activities
14. Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education Four-year degree preferred
Experience Proactive sales experience required
