The Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting appropriate business opportunities through a combination of marketing tools to achieve hotel revenue goals. The Sales Manager is responsible for adhering to all Marriott standard operating procedures and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Meeting weekly, quarterly and annual sales goals as outlined by General Manager.

Conduct hotel tours and site inspections for potential customers.

Complete weekly sales call reports, group pace reports, daily segmentation report and weekly marketing progress reports.

Responsible for Performance Agreement and Marketing plans as required.

Effectively uses all sales resources available to solicit new business.

Effectively develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.

Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers

Generating and maintaining group resumes and portfolios to ensure all group concessions are met and all payment methods are outlined for a smooth billing process.

Act as customer liaison with hotel during customer event/program ensuring daily needs are met and overall customer satisfaction.

Oversee LNR contract negotiations and maintenance of BTS accounts by prospecting, qualifying, and soliciting new business from locally based corporations.

Qualify and negotiate rates for national accounts with support from General Manager and Rooms Manager to ensure hotel revenue goals are met or exceeded.

Maintain online channels including but not exclusive to Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, independent website, branded website, Trip Advisor and Google analytics

Develop and implement engaging strategies to engage guests and potential guests on Social Networking channels and convert conversations into business.

Manage our online reputation.

Strategically utilize e-marketing campaigns to maximize revenue growth during need periods and increase package sales.

Focus on in-house amenities to provide added value of the guest experience.

Host weekly guest activities with focus on exposing our existing packages.

Continue partnering with local area attractions including restaurants, bars, and tourist activities to expand on current destination experience.
