Here's how the job would look like:

As the Sales Coordinator, coordinating between sales and all hotel departments to ensure quality service and compliance with policies and procedures, you will be responsible for short and long term planning and day-to-day operations of the group sales division to achieve customer satisfaction, and meet/exceed sales, revenue and profit objectives. You will assist the Director of Sales in preparation of the marketing, advertising, sales plans, programs and annual budget; manage expenses within approved plans and budgets.

Here are your responsibilities:

-Recommend, assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and controlling the group and sales annual budget and marketing plan, analyze competition, market trends and customer needs and comments; prepare and review forecasts, period and month-end reports and various sales and rate reports to continually assess the group's productivity against the budget, plan and market place.
-Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts, community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase our market share.
-Act as liaison with other departments in the hotel via weekly meetings to provide information in a timely manner and ensure group and catering needs are carried out as contracted.
-Advise all members of the hotel staff on how to recognize and capitalize on all sales opportunities to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.

    -Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
    -Participate in task forces and committees as required.


These are what the job requires:

Education: A four-year college degree or equivalent education /experience.

Experience: Three to four years of employment in a related position with this company or other companies.

Skills and Abilities:

    -Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing hospitality industry.
    -Experiential knowledge and initiative required for complex problems and efficient sales activities.
    -Must possess highly developed communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other personnel, hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
    -Requires ability to investigate and analyze current activities and/or information involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations.


These are what the job requires:

-Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy and OLS Hotels & Resorts Rules of Conduct.
-Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for associates as well as guests.
-Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the General Manager.
-Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the associate handbook.

Travel required: Limited, local travel upon request

Hours Required: Monday thru Friday and times may vary based on business needs. May work weekends and nights, as needed.
