PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
This position will support Goodwill Industries of San Antonio in re-purposing/repairing computer and electronics merchandise to sell through the retail sales floor, e-commerce channels, wholesale, and commodity recycling. Work with team members in a friendly and courteous manner. Responsible for evaluating donated electronics and assessing value. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following established procedures, prepare donated electronics for resell.
Install operating software on computer.
Perform minor warranty maintenance on electronics.
Disassembly and parts salvage from electronics.
Perform basic component/parts testing.
Obtain software, patches, drive via internet.
Learn Goodwill’s systems and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete support duties.
Demonstrate a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting Goodwill’s commitment to our customer.
Package, price and inventory components.
Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
IT Certificate Programs, such as A+ Certification
1 year experience as a computer technician.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Organized and detailed.
Communicate effectively and quickly with a wide variety of customers, team members and management.
Analyze, evaluate situations, and develop alternatives for conflict resolution.
Technical expertise in software, hardware, upgrades and installation.
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
Sel-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized.
Ability to market Goodwill Industries and explain the mission to the public.
Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to team members and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team with different levels of staff and management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work performed indoors in a controlled temperature condition; may be exposed to outside weather conditions of heat,
cold, and humidity; may be exposed to dust, dirt, and solid particles from donated goods.
Monday - Friday, day shift
Vision: Use vision to read, write, type, operate office equipment, and generally function.
Speaking/Hearing: Give and receive information through speaking and hearing.
Motor Coordination: Requires hands to operate office equipment and file documents.
Lift/carry: Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally lifting, pushing, moving up to 75 pounds.
