Job Description
Directly responsible for building a book of business via acquisition of new members using state-of-the- art lead generation platform supported by real time analytics. Upon acquisition, the tele-advisor will "own" the member relationship and will be the primary contact for member inquiries, including but not limited to, questions related to plan benefits, product and services offerings, as well as resolving any issues with respect to the utilization of the product.

Fundamental Components
  • Reactive acquisition of new members via inbound calls
  • Proactive acquisition of new members via outbound calls
  • Assess customer needs for products and services using insightful, probing questions and by demonstrating superior listening skills
  • Service existing members and respond to inquiries related to utilization of their product, benefits, and related questions
  • Cross sell ancillary products as well as any other applicable products to existing members.
  • Retain existing members during annual enrollment period
  • Maintain knowledge levels with respect to government and/or state regulations
  • Ability to multitask, and effectively use computer while interacting with prospects and members via phone
  • Ensure that relevant information is captured in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Meet sales goals for acquisition of new members as outlined in the annual performance plan.
  • Contact prospective members within the time limit outlined in the annual performance plan.
  • Achieve member retention rate at levels of 90%+.
  • Achieve and maintain the highest levels of member satisfaction as measured by various member surveys and member retention rate.
  • Demonstrate an expert level understanding of products, services, and processes offered by the company
  • Ability to pass, on an annual basis: American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Continued Education (CE’s) Product Certification Required Security and Compliance Client/Carrier Certifications Any required CMS Certifications

Background Experience
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Telesales experience preferred
  • Previous sales experience in restaurant, retail, or other customer service based industries.
  • Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications.
  • Appropriate state licensure to sell insurance as required, subject to product sold.
  • Licensure is required within 90 days from the employment start date.4 year college degree
