Work Hours: Monday - Friday/8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


The Cash Applications representative reports to the Cash Applications Supervisor and is responsible for the proper posting of payments, follow-up on postings issues on the daily A/R reports, reviewing and resolving credit balance accounts per established procedure, and successful completion of other duties as assigned by the Cash Applications Supervisor or a manager.


Proven ability to quickly comprehend new techniques and concepts and adapt readily to change. A qualified candidate must demonstrate the following skills and abilities: effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions; experience with computers and working knowledge of standard office equipment; 10 key by touch; good credit history; well groomed appearance; ability to maintain concentration and a positive professional demeanor in a demanding environment with potential for conflict; knowledge of basic accounting principle; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferences: Experience with and working knowledge of computer based accounts receivable/payable system; one year medical billing experience; knowledge of medical terminology; knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and third party payer reimbursement principles.


High school graduate or GED required. Relevant course work above and beyond high school is preferred.
