Job Description

The Automotive Service Adviser helps manage the center of communications for all repair activities and acts as a liaison between customers and the dealership. Acting as the primary point-of-contact for all automotive service matters, he or she must thoroughly understand the customer's problems to set and manage expectations and provide world-class service.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, and a minimum of one year of dealer-level or large facility experience. He or she has an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and has a strong technical and customer service performance record. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Automotive Service Advisor, you would review vehicle inspections, estimates, and recommend proper maintenance care to our valued customers’ vehicles for optimal performance.
  • Greeting customers promptly.
  • Obtaining customer and vehicle information.
  • Clearly reporting all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
  • Determining and recommending needed maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle.
  • Preparing a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently.
  • Verifying that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
  • Explaining all completed work and charges to customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of (2) years of experience as a service advisor/writer.
  • ADP knowledge required
  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • A high degree of ownership and accountability with the ability prioritize effectively.
  • A high degree of integrity and professionalism with excellent communication skills.
  • Above average energy level with the ability to work in a competitive environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug-screen required prior to hire
