Allstate's aggressive marketing campaigns generate a strong and consistent stream of inquiries from new customers interested in purchasing insurance products. As an Outbound Sales Specialist, your role will be to follow up with these prospects, to educate them about Allstate's products, and to successfully close the sale. In addition to handling a high volume of phone leads, you will also be responsible for calling existing customers to tell them about new opportunities. You will be on the front line of Allstate's sales process and critical to helping our Customer Information Center achieve its customer satisfaction and business performance goals. Specific responsibilities include:
* Call existing and prospective Allstate customers who have expressed an interest in new or additional products and services.
* Effectively educate, persuade and close the sale.
* Multitasking by utilizing multiple online systems while speaking with customers on the phone.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of company products and services, and the ability to make specific recommendations to match customers' needs.
* Continually learn and develop knowledge of Allstate products and services.

After completing our fully paid, industry-leading training program, and passing the insurance licensing exam, you will be ready to sell insurance to prospective customers and assist existing Allstate customers with all their insurance needs over the phone. Your ability to sell persuasively and deliver superb customer service are both critical in this position. Every new customer contact presents a new opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and also in your career!
Training and Work schedule:
Training Hours: Day 1 (February 24) - 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Licensing Training: Week 1 - Mon - Fri - 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, 1st week after licensing, Mon - Fri 12:30 PM to 9:00PM
Training Hours: Week 2 thru Week 8 - Tues - Fri - 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Sat 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Transition Hours: Week 9 thru Week 16 - Tues - Fri - 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Sat 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Tentative Regular Work Schedule after Transition: Tues - Fri - 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Sat 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; schedule may change to due business needs.
In addition, a shift differential will be available for entire shift!
Work schedule:
It is Allstate's goal to support our customers how, when and where they want to do be served. Allstate's Customer Information Centers will provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As a result, it is critical that all our team members can commit to a flexible work schedule that includes some weekends and holidays. Most call center employees work one weekend day, typically a Saturday, as a part of their normal work week. We do our best to provide a balance between work and personal life, and we will provide advanced notice of any changes in your work hours.
Working environment:
Please note that, as an Outbound Sales Specialist, you will be required to be on the phone for your entire shift and to be stationed at your desk for the majority of the day.

Compensation and other important information:
* Starting salary: $13 hourly / $27,040 annually (paid bi-weekly) plus shift differential for entire shift!
* Excellent benefits starting on your first day of employment, including 401K, health, dental, vision and life insurance.

Skills / Requirements
Minimum requirements:
* Two years sales experience in a call center environment is preferred. OR, a college degree with one year sales experience. (For "Sales Experience", we are looking for individuals who enjoy the challenge in getting that next sale and who have successfully handled rejections in a sales environment)
* Strong customer service skills
* Superior closing skills
* Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast paced environment
* Ability to manage sensitive and critical client information
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Problem solving and decision making skills
* Strong computer, typing and grammar skills
* High level of dependability
* Stable work history
* Must be eligible to obtain a P&C license in the state of Texas and in all 50 States (To obtain a P&C license, you must pass a comprehensive background check that will include a FBI background check)
* Applicants must be at least 18 years or older to be considered eligible to take the state licensing exam
